Any remaining proceeds from the Tricentennial will go to support the newly re-formed King of Prussia Historical Society. The Historical Society wants to make sure our town’s history is preserved and partnering with other Township Organizations to plan local happenings with a Tricentennial theme in mind.

January 2014 Update: Regretfully, it appears the Historical Society will not be the recipient of any remaining Tricentennial funds as previously stated.
If you are a current member of the Society, your issue should be in your mailbox soon. And if you are not yet a member, why not join the Society so you too can read about the Knickerbocker Ice Company and more local history.
In support of Upper Merion Township’s Tricentennial celebration, Historical Society President J. Michael Morrison co-authored the book Upper Merion Township – The First 300 Years with Francis X. Luther and Marianne Hooper. From the Lenni Lenape Indians to the King of Prussia Mall – the first 300 years of our history is far richer than you could ever imagine. Interest was so great, a second edition is in the works for 2014.
