From the Montgomery County History Day Facebook page:

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War by learning about the many ways and many people from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania who served as America witnessed the greatest challenge to her Constitution from the years 1861 to 1865. We welcome you to tell your family story as it relates to this time period in our Nation’s history, by joining us in the descendant’s tent. Bring your youngsters and we’ll enroll them to be citizen soldiers for the Union Army or visit with our local historical societies who will share the tales of their region of the county during these turbulent times. Historic trade demonstrations and speakers throughout the day in the barn. Military and civilian camps around the Heckler Farmhouse. Meet General Winfield Hancock in the Heckler House. Cannon firings twice during the day. Food available. A great way to teach your children American history and County history in one setting.

**Please note the change in date and location to accommodate the rescheduling of the 2014 Montgomery County History Day ~ 9:30 am to 4:30 pm ~ Free Admission.**
